In a bout where Terence Crawford dared to be even greater by moving up two weight classes to challenge for Canelo Alvarez' undisputed super middleweight world championship, 'Bud' left no doubt that he is the best boxer of this era ... and possibly the greatest of all time.

Beating him to the punch and proving his boxing brilliance, Crawford defeated Alvarez by unanimous decision to become the only man in boxing history to win an undisputed crown in three divisions. (Claressa Shields accomplished the feat in women's boxing).

Judges at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday night scored it 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113 all in favor of the Omaha, Nebraska man who outboxed the face of boxing handily.

Though Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) never hurt Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs), he dictated the pace of a majority of the fight and always had an answer for the Mexican superstar whether it was catching him coming in and closing in on his ring real estate, sharp counterpunches or flurries. Plus, Alvarez could never figure out Crawford's strategic spacing and lateral movement.

By the middle of the bout, it was clear that it was Crawford's fight and that Alvarez would need a knockout blow that never came.

After yearning and coveting for this opportunity, Crawford made the most of it with a boxing clinic that puts him in rarefied air of his own with a future lock Hall of Fame resume and spot on boxing's Mount Rushmore that stands out amongst his peers.

Here is how Terence Crawford constructed his masterpiece over Canelo Alvarez.
