With the entire boxing community split on who will emerge victorious between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, one former fighter is confident with his prediction.
The Nebraska man has already tasted world title glory in four weight classes and a win over Canelo will see him register the biggest win of his professional career.
Canelo begins the fight a slight favourite as he holds advantages in size and experience, but Tim Bradley, a former world champion, is a big believer in Crawford.
One of boxing’s best fighters at his peak, Bradley fought at the highest level for large portions of his career, and he even shared the ring with Manny Pacquiao on three occasions.
Now retired, Bradley still follows the sport with a keen intent, and he has delivered his verdict on what he believes will go down when two of the modern era’s clash in a major contest.
“You don’t think Crawford can go the distance with Canelo if William Scull can go 12 rounds with him and keep him at an all-time low?” asked Bradley when speaking on his YouTube channel.
“Crawford is at a different level. He’s a GOAT, too, but he’s at a different level.
“He’s going to show everybody who is going to witness this on Netflix on September 13th. He’s going to defy all the boxing odds. He’s going to rewrite the book.”
