Christian M'billi believes now is the perfect time for him to face Canelo Alvarez, vowing to "destroy" the Mexican superstar.
The WBC super-middleweight champion will defend his crown against the former undisputed champion later this year in Riyadh.
Victory for M'billi would rank him among elite company, with Canelo only bested by three fighters considered all-time greats.
But speaking on the Mr. Verzace podcast, the star suggests he is brimming with confidence to get the job done in Saudi Arabia.
"I think his performance [levels are] going down, but he's still very dangerous,” he said. "It's perfect timing for me to beat him.
"He's never fought people who throw a lot of punches like me, and put on a lot of pressure. Physically, I want to destroy him.
"I hope he will be ready, because it will be an amazing fight. I think he will regret [being] in the ring. I will not change anything."
Canelo lost his crown last September in just his third pro loss, as Terence Crawford outgunned him in a Las Vegas blockbuster.
