Darren Till feels Luke Rockhold is 'a weak man' ahead of main event clash

DAZN
Till vs Rockhold - August 30 - Misfits on DAZN PPV

One of the knocks throughout the career of Luke Rockhold was that he came off as too arrogant because of his Hollywood good looks and being one of the elite fighters in all of mixed martial arts. Those skills led him to become the Strikeforce and UFC middleweight champion.

However, that's also been a curse. Rockhold came in overly confident when he defended the 185-pound title against late replacement Michael Bisping at UFC 199 in June 2016. The California native thought Bisping would be a walk in the park and it'd be an easy title defense. Bisping had other things in mind, scoring a first-round knockout to notch one of the biggest upsets in UFC history.

Heading into his Misfits on DAZN PPV main event tilt against Rockhold this Saturday, Darren Till believes what cost him the UFC title will be to his advantage.

"Luke will just take advantage of himself and make me look like a bull," Till said to DAZN in a video interview. "Obviously, he’s got the tools to beat me. I think when it comes down to psychology with Luke, I think he’s a weak man. I really do. I can see the weakness in him."

Till (2-0, 1 KO) is coming off a dominant showing over Darren Stewart back in May. When assessing Rockhold, who's making his professional boxing debut, and fighting Stewart, Till feels his last opponent will end up providing a stiffer test than what he'll encounter this weekend.

"I was thinking about that. I don’t think anyone realized how tough Darren is," Till said. I can’t see it being tougher. I definitely think I can knock him out if I catch him."
