Deontay Wilder would consider it "an honour" to fight Oleksandr Usyk, according to the former's co-manager Shelly Finkel.

The Ukrainian confirmed last month that he would vacate his three heavyweight belts ahead of a "last dance" in the ring.

Since then, Wilder has been mooted as a leading contender to face the star, alongside a rematch with Rico Verhoeven too.

Now, Finkel has revealed that 'The Bronze Bomber' would be delighted to have the chance to cross paths with the veteran.

"If the terms were right, Deontay would welcome the opportunity to fight Usyk," he told Sky Sports News on a potential bout.

"Usyk is a great champion and it would be an honour to fight him."

Wilder was previously linked to a bout with Usyk in late 2025, as the star sought to face his last major generation rival in the ring.

Talks folded however, with the American ultimately moving onto a clash with Derek Chisora, who he defeated in London back in April.
