Heavyweight and British boxing legend Derek Chisora has revealed the date and location for his 50th and final fight.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Chisora announced that he will be fighting on December 13 at Manchester's Co-op Live, the same arena where he beat Sweden's Otto Wallin in a hard-hitting encounter in February.

"We are going back to Manchester, 13 December. Road to 50, shutdown. Do you understand?" Chisora said.

"So, book your hotels, book your restaurants. Me and Queensberry, we are coming to shut it down in Manchester, 13 December.

“Opponent will be announced soon. I had one, but the big boss took him, so I’m currently arguing. The big boss said what he wants... so, it happens.

“But the road to 50 in Manchester, shutdown. The ‘Last Dance’ 2, happening in Manchester. War!”

But who could Chisora face as the curtain comes down an evenful career? DAZN News' Matt Astbury draws up a list of five candidates.

Dillian Whyte

After suffering a first round knockout defeat to fast rising star Moses Itauma in August, Dillian Whyte is unlikely to find himself competing with those at the top of the heavyweight division.

However, a trilogy fight with Chisora could still prove to be an entertaining affair and may also be a fitting end to Whyte's career.

Whyte has won the two previous encounters in 2016 and 2018, but with Chisora recently producing heavyweight slug fests to remember, he will fancy his chances against a low in confidence 'Bodysnatcher'.

Chisora and Whyte have been staples of the domestic heavyweight scene in the UK, and a trilogy clash could be a fitting final curtain call in an early Christmas cracker.

Moses Itauma

Ahead of Chisora's announcement, promoter Frank Warren confirmed that heavyweight knockout artist Moses Itauma would return on the same date as Chisora's final outing.

Could Itauma be the opponent which was taken away from Chisora as alluded to in the latter's social media post?

I hope it wasn't because the prospect of an Itauma-Chisora matchup is a scary one. Itauma is leaving his opponents in a heap on the ring canvas and he would likely do the same with Chisora.

Being subjected to a brutal knockout will not be how Chisora will want to bow out of the sweet science, and for Itauma, facing his fellow Brit feels like a step back rather than step forward in his push for a world title.

Oleksandr Usyk

An undisputed heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk for Chisora's final boxing outing is a left field suggestion, but considering the good relationship between the pair, there is a chance.

Chisora managed to go the full 12 rounds with Usyk in what was just the Ukrainian's second fight at heavyweight, and while the undisputed heavyweight champion has mandatories queuing out the door, he has the licence to do whatever he wants.

It would be some sight to see Usyk step into the ring to face a man who has been ever-present in British boxing, but I think Usyk would look to cement his legacy as one of the greats by facing some of the toughest challenges heavyweight boxing has to offer.

Deontay Wilder

The former WBC heavyweight champion is in a weird stage of his career.

After returning to the ring in June after scoring a seventh round knockout against Tyrrell Anthony Herndon, Deontay Wilder's next fight is yet to be announced.

Wilder may not be the most technical gifted boxer, but his swinging punches have fight fans on the edge of their seats and combine that with Chisora's slow, but relentless style, it would be a heavyweight tussle to remember.

Zhilei Zhang

Where is Zhilei Zhang?

The man known as 'Big Bang' has been radio silent since losing to Agit Kabayel earlier this year

The defeat to the German may have rid the Chinese heavyweight of the chance to mount a world title challenge, but he can still be involved in huge contests.

He would be a great dance partner for Chisora's farewell, big, heavy hands, he would bring the best out of Chisora who will want to make December 13 a night to remember for British boxing.

With Zhang's amusing character, it would be an intriguing watch to see how his personality mixes with the unpredictable nature of Chisora whose fight weeks are not to be missed.
