Eubank Jr. vs Benn II predictions: Who wins rematch?

Chris Walker

Not much will change from the first fight. Can Benn pace himself better?

Yes, but in Eubank Jr. he is facing a much bigger man who is capable of doing a frantic 12 rounds even when he has struggled to weigh in efficiently.

This is set to be another dramatic contest with both men having their moments, but when the final bell goes, Eubank Jr will once again be the victor after being pushed right until the very end again.

Mark Lelinwalla

Watching their inaugural fight over, I really felt like Benn did his best work punching in traffic with the quicker hands.

His biggest problem was his own aggression as Eubank often baited him into slicing uppercuts. If Benn can be more disciplined and measured with his forward fighting, I believe he will get the better of the exchanges needed to win by points.

There is even a path to a stoppage if Benn picks his spots shrewdly, but I think he makes the adjustments necessary to even their series on the scorecards.

As the lights are switched off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it will be Chris Eubank Jr. who will celebrating the win in his rematch with Conor Benn.

I think the contest will once again go the full 12-round distance, but Eubank Jr. will be a more comprehensive winner on the scorecards.

Trained by Brian ‘Bomac’ McIntyre, the man behind Terence Crawford, I expect Eubank Jr. to be more clinical with his punches and tire out Benn, who will want to be on the front foot.

While I expect Benn to be less reckless compared to the first fight, I don’t think there is anything ‘new’ Benn will bring to the table to catch Eubank Jr. by surprise.

Chris Oliver

I believe Benn will be better with the 12 rounds in April under his belt and he may have grown into the weight more now, but Eubank Jr. will still be the bigger man and that can be enough for him to get the victory again.

Just like the first time around, I think it will be extremely competitive and entertaining, with another close decision expected and I think it will go the same way.

Eubank Jr.’s jab was excellent in the first fight and he looked to have the better engine as he closed the fight out in style, so those two factors could just tilt things in his favour again.

Maybe it's unfashionable to suggest so, but after three fights where the Eubank name has come away unbeaten, this could be the time that the Benn legacy finally seals that win they have craved for generations.

Conor Benn was close on the night in April despite the natural weight disadvantage and his arguably less polished approach. By his own admission, the star feels he lost his way and let his emotions rule the roost.

If he can keep them in check, then an even-tempered approach could see him pile the damage on a Chris Eubank Jr. who is half-a-year older and faced with another tough cut for weight. But it is a big if.
