Eubank v Benn 2 ACCA DAZN Bet

Punters are a hopeful lot. We often believe the universe owes us a win.

Alas the universe is indifferent to human concerns, morality or your 5/1 shot being unseated at the last at Cheltenham while leading by half the track.

Betting and sports have been comfy bedfellows for centuries, and all eyes will be on Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn II this weekend. The bitter British rivals will headline a DAZN-Pay-Per-View show.

The main event should be another cracker, but the undercard is stacked too and there are some nice wagering opportunities for those who like a flutter.

The DAZN News team have been tasked by the good folk at DAZN BET to mark the occasion with an Acca bet – which they have boosted – as the anticipation over this huge show on Saturday continues to build.

Catterall by decision or technical decision v Essuman

Jack Catterall lands one on Harlem EubankMark Robinson Matchroom Boxing.

This is a good fight. Essuman 22-1 (8) is well schooled, has held British and Commonwealth titles in the past and comes to north London with serious momentum after defeating Josh Taylor by unanimous decision last time out. He showed grit and determination in that one and deserved the nod.

It will be Catterall’s first fight since linking up with trainer Derrick “Bozy” Ennis in Philadelphia, having left Jamie Moore’s gym. El Gato - ranked by all four major governing bodies at welterweight – is a sharp counterpuncher so it will be intriguing to see what Ennis has added to his arsenal.

The 31-2 (13) Catterall can punch with authority when in the mood, but this looks a distance fight. His durability and experience at this level give Essuman a chance, especially if the fight becomes really physical, but our hunch is a revitalised Catterall gets it done on the cards.

Riakporhe by KO, TKO or Disqualification v Tommy Welch

Unbeaten heavyweight Tommy Welch 16-0 (9) faces the biggest test of his career against Riakporhe, who once challenged for the world cruiserweight title.

This 10-round attraction should be lively, and in truth it is something of a surprise to see Welch – whose father Scott was a useful British heavyweight back in the day – chalked up at 9/1 in places for the win.

Riakporhe 18-1 (14) was last seen on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez v William Scull in Saudi back in May, and having added 30lbs to his cruiserweight frame still looked in great shape in stopping the portly Kevin Nicolas Espindola.

While he may be forced to overcome a few prickly moments here, it is unlikely that Welch will present him with anything he has not seen before.

The superior boxing brain and movement of Riakporhe should allow him to exploit Welch’s inferior defence, while also weathering whatever storm comes his way.

Riakporhe is unlikely to take any unnecessary risks early on against a big lump from Brighton who can bang with both hands, but the Londoner has the pedigree to claim a stoppage win in the second half of the fight.

Davis by decision or technical decision v Sam Gilley

Leeds' Davis 14-3 (6) has been very busy recently and this will be his third fight since September 13, when he lost a razor-thin decision to Caoimhin Agyarko in Belfast (a fight many had him winning). He was out again last month on a Leeds dinner show and while you have to respect his work ethic – he has been sparring Conor Benn in the run up to this – is there a danger he could be a bit fatigued?

Gilley’s 18-1-1 (9) resume looks tidy enough on paper, but a draw last time out against the unremarkable Gideon Onyenani suggests he may have already found his level.

Davis has three defeats on his record but has come in at short notice to save fights on big shows for two of those. He is serious about his craft and ‘The Black Panther’ is always in shape.

The vacant British super-welterweight title is on the line and Gilley – roared on by a London crowd – should be good enough to hear the final bell but Davis can get a much-needed TV win under his belt by prevailing on the cards.

Eubank Jr v Benn Bet offer

Azim by KO, TKO or Disqualification v Kurt Scoby

Azim is expected to win this, but nobody will be getting rich quick backing him at 1/12.

Scoby 18-1 (16) is capable but had his undefeated status snatched from him by trialhorse Dakota Linger last year. He has rebounded with five wins since – all by stoppage – but it’s Azim holding all the aces here.

The Shane McGuigan-trained prodigy is the younger man by seven years and has streaked to 13-0 (10) since turning over in December 2020.

He scored the best win of his career lats time out, a ninth-round stoppage of useful former world champion Sergey Lipinets.

He showed patience in that fight and is one of the best prospects on the planet right now. Azim has a nasty uppercut and showed a solid chin against Lipinets. He has stopped four of his last five, but this is just his second fight of 2025, so ring rust could be a factor. However, he is fast and powerful, and his punches are often so crisp and clean.

This is a 10-rounder and Azim should be good enough to get Scoby out of there after halfway and then look for a world title shot at some point in 2026.
