What is the score in the Eubank vs Benn family feud following Chris Eubank Jr's epic victory over Conor Benn?

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn both promised to leave everything in the ring before their superb encounter, and both fighters delivered on their promise as they exhausted each other in a terrific battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 

Eubank Jr was the victor, and the win now means that the Eubank family remain unbeaten in fights against boxers representing the Benn clan. 

There have now been three fights between the families, and with their fathers enduring a tough rivalry in the early 1990s, their sons have more than lived up to the expectations placed upon them heading into their most recent encounter.

The Eubanks' record now stands at 2-0-1 following Eubank Jr’s performance, and he made sure no stone was left unturned as he competed for his name. 

In the first Eubank vs Benn back in 1990, Eubank was too good as he stopped Benn in round nine following a brutal encounter that saw both men have their moments before Eubank prevailed against his great rival. 

Constantly linked to a second meeting, the pair would have to wait three years to renew hostilities, and it was another major affair as they fought at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, who were then Premier League champions.  

This time, there was a significant improvement in Benn, and combined with a decline in Eubank, the fight was much closer.

Despite many believing that the Essex man had done enough, the fight was scored a draw, and this marked the end of the feud between the families for over 30 years. 

With both their sons progressing nicely in the professional ranks, a contest between the pair was never considered realistic as they operated in different weight classes, but that all changed in 2022 when a fight was finally agreed. 

The bout was postponed when Benn failed his drug test for an adverse finding, and although that shocking news drew wide criticism, the rivalry became even more bitter. 

This helped create a tension-filled build-up, but there was no doubt that no one was left shortchanged when their incredible fight was finally over. 

A rematch between Eubank Jr and Benn could take place later this year, and that could provide the latter to finally score a win for his family.
