The heavyweight division is continuing to roll on despite the next moves of some of its biggest names still unconfirmed.
Later this month, Fabio Wardley and Joseph Parker will meet with the winner of that contest set to land a major fight with Oleksandr Usyk at some point in 2026.
In December, boxing fans are expected to see the returns of Moses Itauma and Derek Chisora, as they are likely to feature in separate fights with Manchester being the rumoured location for the pre-Christmas show.
Two other major fighters who could make a splash next year are Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury with the longtime rivals hopefully stepping into the ring to face each other.
Eddie Hearn has recently been very vocal about Joshua’s comeback plans with fights in Africa mentioned for the former two-time world champion, but what about Fury?
In January, Fury shocked the boxing world when he announced his retirement just a few weeks after suffering a second successive loss to Usyk.
Some within the sport have taken that announcement lightly, and Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, has revealed that he expects to see his man back in action next year once other commitments are out of the way.
“I spoke to him last week; he said that he's going to come back and fight next year. He wants to do it,” said Warren during an exclusive interview with DAZN News.
“He's had a very busy year this year. He's obviously not had a fight this year, but as we've all seen, he's had his documentary. He's been filming with Netflix for his At Home with the Fury’s series.
“He's also got another documentary that he's finishing off, plus other things. he wants. I mean, he's told me categorically he wants to fight next year. So, we'll sit down and see.”
