Filip Hrgovic has responded to the possibility of facing British heavyweight Moses Itauma on August 8 in London.
As revealed by DAZN News, the Croatian is in the frame to face the exciting 21-year-old at London's O2 Arena, but Hrgovic has to do his part in order for the contest to take place.
Tonight, Hrgovic faces fan favourite Dave Allen in Doncaster, live on DAZN, in a fight which will see the former look to spoil the party in Allen's home city.
When asked about the possibility of facing Itauma next, Hrgovic is open to the idea, but he stressed that the Allen fight is a "must win" where he needs to avoid any serious injuries if the Itauma bout is to become a reality.
"Of course, I’ll fight anyone, but first I must win on Saturday," Hrgovic said at Thursday's press conference.
"Hopefully, without injuries, without cuts. That date is soon after my fight, so we’ll see what shape I will be after the fight.
"I must win, I must look good, I must have no injuries, we’ll see, but I’m open to fight anyone in the world."
If Allen does manage to beat Hrgovic, then it will bring an end to Hrgovic's time at the top of the heavyweight division.
"A loss would put me in a terrible position, so I cannot lose," Hrgovic continued.
"I am ready for everything, I am not taking him lightly, I’m expecting a good fight."
The must-win scenario for Hrgovic was also reiterated by Allen, who is ready to shock the Olympic medallist at the Keepmoat Stadium.
"If Filip Hrgovic loses to me, it’s game over, he’s done," Allen said.
"Filip likes a fight, and if he gets into a fight with me, he’ll be shocked."
