London’s Wembley Stadium will become the centre of the boxing world tonight with a new undisputed heavyweight champion set to be crowned.

Live and exclusive on DAZN PPV, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois will be out for revenge against WBA, WBC and WBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk who beat ‘Dynamite’ two years ago.

With 90,000 fans set to pack out the national stadium, it’s set to be another memorable night of the sweet science under the historic Wembley arch.

Here are five reasons why Usyk vs Dubois 2 is an event which cannot be missed.

Usyk’s quest to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion

Usyk is no stranger to being an undisputed champion with reigns at both cruiserweight and heavyweight.

His first reign of holding all four heavyweight titles came after his win over Tyson Fury in May 2024, but boxing politics often puts a dampener on any major success and the Ukrainian was stripped of his IBF title shortly after.

Now is the chance for Usyk to achieve this accolade for a second time this year and join Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in becoming a two-time undisputed champion in the same weight class.

Dubois out for revenge after ‘low blow’ controversy

While Usyk beat Dubois in their first encounter, the contest was overshadowed by a ‘low blow’ by Dubois in the fifth round.

A body shot which landed on the beltline floored Usyk was deemed low by the referee gave the Ukrainian ample time to recover. This punch split the boxing community with some claiming that it was a perfect legal shot, and Dubois was robbed of a career best win.

Since then, Dubois has improved significantly as a fighter and his chance at getting revenge comes in the biggest fight of his career against a pound-for-pound great.

Dubois out to make British boxing history

In the history of British boxing, there has only been one undisputed heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis, albeit that was during the three-belt era.

Tonight, Dubois has his own shot at history because if he manages to beat Usyk, he will become the first British undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.

If Dubois does get his hand raised, he will also join Josh Taylor in being a British fighter who has achieved undisputed status by holding all four major world title belts.

First undisputed heavyweight title fight on UK soil

Wembley Stadium is no stranger to being the stage for historic moments in both sport and culture, and tonight will be no different.

When the opening bell rings, Usyk and Dubois will be contesting the first ever undisputed heavyweight title fight to be contested on British soil.

Former Dubois rival to face Olympian on undercard

Two-weight world champion and former Olympian Lawrence Okolie is set to feature on the undercard, and he will be going up against Kevin Lerena, a former rival of Dubois, in a heavyweight contest.

Okolie maybe seen as a favourite, but Lerena has shown that he can trouble some of the best, most notably in his clash with Dubois three years ago when he managed to knock down the British star before being stopped in the third round.
