July is fast approaching the halfway mark already, and there's been no shortage of big news across the sporting spectrum in the boxing world.
With Murat Gassiev rubber-stamped as full WBA heavyweight champion, a new kingpin has been crowned at the summit of the glamour division.
But his success - and what he may do next - are far from the only major newslines that have done the rounds amid a busy summer schedule.

But that did not deter the star, who confirmed himself as Oleksandr Usyk's successor for the WBA heavyweight title in style.
Now, he will turn his attention towards securing bigger tests, with talk of unification opportunities and old rivalries to settle too.
Fury-Joshua stadium saga rumbles on
Two heavyweights preparing for a return remain Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua - but drama abounds over their own bout.
With no date or venue for the duo's super-bout, talk of a 2am start at Wembley Stadium has infuriated domestic British fans.

Beneath Gassiev-Kadriu, Joe Joyce had hoped to reignite his own career. Instead, it is now five losses in his last six fights.
The Rio 2016 favourite came up short against Artem Suslenkov, and seemingly waved himself out before a late stoppage loss.
At 40, it is hard to see a route back to the top for Joyce now, with serious questions to be asked if he has reached retirement.
Ruiz makes comeback bid
Elsewhere among the veteran heavyweight scene, Andy Ruiz confirmed a return after penning terms with Matchroom Boxing.

It has been brewing in the pipeline for what feels like an age, but Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn may finally be ready for lift-off.
