Hamzah Sheeraz can move onto "bigger and better things" if he defeats Alem Begic, believes promoter Frank Warren.
The Briton will face the German for the WBO super-middleweight title after his expected foe Diego Pacheco pulled out.
Victory in a division currently still reeling from Terence Crawford's retirement would deliver Sheeraz a maiden major strap.
Now, the Queensberry Promotions supremo is keen to see his star further thrive in the division, regardless of his opponent.
"Pacheco obviously didn't want it," Warren told The Ring. "He didn't fancy it, so we’ve got Begic. That's a real good fight.
"For me it's a very winnable fight. He wins that, he gets his title, we've delivered and then on to bigger and better things.
"Hamzah had a great win out in America [last time], a really good win in America. He showed them what he's all about.
"He's comfortable at the weight. He’s a big guy, he's got a big frame on him. I don't know how he was fighting at middleweight.”
There's a storm at super-middleweight, and Hamzah Sheeraz looks like a man best placed to harness the wind in his favour.
The Briton's move from a division below after his draw with Carlos Adames has proven inspired so far, setting up a title shot.
Diego Pacheco's decision to pull out of a clash raised some eyebrows given his own pedigree and record in the ring to date.
But after Sheeraz's demolition job against Edgar Berlanga last July, Frank Warren's confidence seems well-placed in his star.
Alem Begic will be no pushover - but you can bet that his opponent will want to lay down a new marker of his talents there too.
