Is Kell Brook about to end his retirement? The Sheffield fighter, a former world champion at welterweight, has not been seen in action since February 2022.
Then, Brook settled one of the biggest rivalries in British boxing history when he put on a dominant display to score a very impressive stoppage over his domestic rival Amir Khan.
Announcing his retirement in the fight’s aftermath, Brook has been out of the ring for over a year, but his name continues to be linked to big fights including a battle with Conor Benn.

Speaking after Callum Simpson’s win over Celso Neves, Ben Shalom, the promoter of Brook’s last contest, hinted that Brook isn’t retired yet as he compared Simpson to the Sheffield man.
“Kell Brook, obviously coming towards the end of his career, this is the next one. 100%,” said Shalom to Sky Sports.
Brook followed that up by adding, “Let’s just see what comes.”
