Jack Catterall (30-2) will return to his home city of Manchester on July 5 when he takes on Harlem Eubank in a welterweight contest.
This will be Catterall's first fight since being beaten by Arnold Barboza Jr for the WBO interim super lightweight champion and it will also be his debut at 147lbs.Â
Eubank will be putting his 21-0 unbeaten record on the line against Catterall and he is quickly becoming a legitimate contender at welterweight.Â
His last fight saw him become the IBF inter-continental champion with a 10th round stoppage win against Tyrone McKenna and the 31-year-old will look to continue what has already been a memorable year for the Eubank family.Â
"We believe that Jack Catterall is the best guy they have on the Matchroom roster and we're about to take him out," Eubank said in the ring Saturday night at Copper Box Arena in London, staring across from Catterall.Â
To that, Catterall said his back is against the wall following a loss to Arnold Barboza Jr in February.
"I need to put on a dominant performance," Catterall said.
Chris Eubank Jr, Harlem's cousin, was involved in a Fight of the Year contender against Conor Benn in April, and Harlem will be hoping he can replicate another win for the family over a domestic foe.Â
