Jai Opetaia will make his maiden defence of the IBF cruiserweight belt when he takes on Jordan Thomson on September 30, live on DAZN (excluding Australia and New Zealand).
Opetaia (22-0 17 KOs) won the IBF crown when he secured a victory over Mairis Briedis in July last year, the last time the Australian athlete was in action. Now he puts the title up for grabs against Thompson (15-0, 12 KOs), who was last seen in action in a TKO victory over Luke Watkins in April.
Opetaia vs. Thompson is just one of two world title fights on the bill, as Ellie Scotney and Laura Soledad Griffa meet for Scotney's IBF women's super-bantamweight title.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Opetaia vs. Thompson.
The event is set to get underway at 7 p.m. UK / 2 p.m. ET with the main event ringwalks expected at around 10:06 p.m. UK / 5:06 p.m. ET. The running time may be altered depending on the length of the preceding fights.
