When Jaime Munguia and Bruno Surace clashed in December, Munguia fell victim to an unexpected overhand right knockout punch in the sixth round for a huge loss.

Nearly five months later, Munguia was able to avenge that defeat by producing a unanimous decision over Surace at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, exclusively on DAZN PPV worldwide. Judges scored it 116-112, 117-111 and 117-111 all in Munguia's favor. DAZN News had it 116-112 for Munguia.

Although Surace boxed well and proved he was way more than a one-knockout wonder, Munguia began imposing his will on the French fighter, especially from the ninth round onwards.

That was when Munguia really loaded up on his hooks, detonating them to Surace's body to visible effects.

Munguia used his brand of forward fighting and smothering to pin Surace against the ropes during many sequences where he'd punish him with heavy-handed rib shots.

After being glad to have redeemed himself from his December loss, Munguia set his sights on two other super middleweights for a possible fight — Caleb Plant and Edgar Berlanga.
