Jake Paul's route to victory over Mike Tyson predicted by former Trainer of the Year

The pair go head to head this summer.

Former Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year Joe Gallagher believes that Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson could see the younger man emerge victorious.

Gallagher was speaking to Betway about the upcoming bout set for the summer, which has seen observers argue over who holds the upper hand.

Tyson is pushing 60 while Paul remains in his twenties, but Tyson is a multiple-time world champion, while his opponent has lost to Tommy Fury.

In training videos, Tyson has appeared to retain much of his fearsome punching power from his heyday, and Gallagher believes that could be the difference.

On the other hand, he wondered if Paul’s age advantage would be the decisive factor.

He said: “When Ricky Hatton had a fight with Marco Antonio Barrera, he had an exhibition, and everyone understood what it was about.

“When it comes to Jake Paul v Mike Tyson, they’ve commissioned it as a fight but with different conditions on it like eight, two-minute rounds and 14oz gloves.

“You’re commissioning it as a fight with different rules and these are new rules because they’re not in 10oz gloves so it’s a bit of mix and match.”

He added: “Of course, Jake Paul could win, he’s a young man and has been active but with Mike Tyson, one thing you never lose is your punch (power).

“It’s over two-minute rounds but it’s going to be a hard watch.”
