NEW YORK — Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller finally got his Madison Square Garden moment Saturday night … and it was literally a hair-raising viral moment for the ages.

After Kingsley Ibeh blasted him with a crunching uppercut during the second round of their Ring VI heavyweight fight, live on DAZN PPV , Miller’s hairpiece actually rose off his scalp.

Instead of bearing the brunt of embarrassment that could come in a scene like that, ‘Big Baby’ embraced the moment instead. He rose off his stool in the corner, flashed a toothy grin, removed the hairpiece, and tossed it into the crowd as fans at “The World’s Most Famous Arena” — and many more watching at home — erupted with reaction. Within seconds, ‘Big Baby’ was viral, trending on the social media platform X.

The levity of the moment served as the climax of an otherwise underwhelming bout, though Miller earned the split-decision victory. After 10 rounds of boxing, judges scored it 96-94 for Ibeh, 97-93 for Miller, and 97-93 for Miller, giving ‘Big Baby’ the win.

Though Miller dug his way back into the fight and won, his 17-month layoff and the 317 pounds he tipped the scale with during Friday’s weigh-in showed their full effects.

The fight took place nearly seven years after Miller was originally supposed to fight Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden back in June 2019, even infamously shoving him across the press conference stage. A failed drug test dashed that plan and paved the way for Andy Ruiz Jr. to take Miller’s spot and shock the world by defeating AJ in one of boxing’s biggest upsets.

That said, it took Miller finally made his debut at ‘The Mecca of Boxing.' On Saturday night, ‘Big Baby’ made the most of his first fighting opportunity at MSG as he started to lean into Ibeh, making the Nigerian fighter feel his full weight as he banged away at the body — enough to win and laugh off the lighthearted hair moment.

The victory over Ibeh (16-3-1, 14 KOs) was somewhat savory for Miller (27-1-2, 22 KOs) who was winless in his previous two bouts, having fought Ruiz to a majority draw in August 2024 and lost to Daniel Dubois via 10 th -round TKO the December prior.

Entering Saturday night, Miller had fought and won at a laundry list of New York City venues whether Barclays Center in his native Brooklyn, Nassau Colisuem, Seneca Niagara Resort at Niagara Falls, the old Paramount Theatre in Midtown Manhattan, and even Webster Hall and Roseland Ballroom — two nightclub spots. Now, the heavyweight veteran can say he has won at “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” too.
