'Very disrespectful!' - Jeamie TKV ready to settle scores with rival in latest Lonsdale Belt clash

Jeamie Tshikeva says his British title fight with Frazer Clarke is "three years" in the making, and hopes to put his rival in his place when they meet for the British heavyweight title.

The duo will fight at Derby's Valiant Live for the Lonsdale Belt later this year, as the former bids for success in his second crack following a controversial loss to David Adeleye.

With the latter having vacated the belt for a bout with Filip Hrgovic in August, TKV now has the chance to write his name in lights against Clarke in an intriguing clash on paper.

For the star, however, it is a chance to settle the score after his rival previously dismissed him in a Sky Sports interview following a victory over Jake Darnell back in June 2022.

"I still remember what he said in that interview," he told The Ring. "He just dismissed me on TV. I’d just knocked out my opponent, the same opponent he had boxed too.

"They asked him, ‘What do you think of Jeamie?’ At the time, Clarke was coming off an injury, and he said he would use me as a tune-up. I found that very disrespectful.

"I’ve been coming for Frazer Clarke since then. This is three years in the making. It cooled down a little bit with us both on separate paths, but now we’re fighting, so it’s back on."

TKV also says he will work with Fabio Wardley ahead of his latest bout, with his fellow Briton set to face Joseph Parker on October 25 at The O2 Arena on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

With the pair both in action on October 25, the former hopes they can team up in the gym where they train together and help bank some experience ahead of their big fight nights.

"It’s good that me and Fabio are fighting on the same night, both peaking at the same time," he added. "We are both right-handed and are both facing right-handed opponents.

"He helped me for the Adeleye fight and I helped him for the Justis Huni fight [...] so it’s only right we do it again. We will definitely get some rounds in."
