Johnny Fisher has thought about a rematch with Dave Allen "every night" since their first bout, as the pair prepare to go for a second dance this May in London.
The duo will meet in a heavyweight bout at the Copper Box Arena, live on DAZN, on Saturday May 17, five months after Fisher edged a split-decision win in Riyadh.
The star admitted that he did not give the best account of himself in the ring that night, and hopes to put it right with another statement performance this time around.
Speaking at Friday's press conference, Fisher acknowledged he had been thinking about a second fight ever since the first, and that he was excited to fight in front of a home crowd again.
"Every night from when I went to bed after that fight, I thought about it," he said. "I didn't make a rash decision. I let it stew in my mind, let it fester and let it breathe.
"I said I can't be a real man if I don't come and run this fight back. I know I can do it a lot better. I can do a better job of it. We've got to give the people what they want.
"As professional heavyweight boxers, people want to see bloodthirsty fights, and I'm ready to do it all again. That's what I'm trained to do, that's what I was born to do.
"I have no dispute with people who scored it and edged it to Dave, because that's their opinion. But when things get hysterical, that's when you need to not pay attention."
"In Saudi Arabia, the hospitality was great. But there is nothing like fighting in front of the British boxing public. It will be absolutely rocking in there."
