Joseph Parker reveals the one factor which gives him the edge over Fabio Wardley

Parker vs Wardley only on DAZN PPV - Saturday

Joseph Parker is confident his superior experience will give him the edge over Fabio Wardley when the two interim heavyweight champions clash in London on Saturday night

Broadcast exclusively live on DAZN PPV, Parker and Wardley will do battle with the reward of a date against undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk awaiting the winner.

Parker and Wardley are riding the crest of a wave when it comes to their recent performances, and this heavyweight matchup feels like a natural collision course between two men who are on the brink of challenging for world honours.

There is no doubt Parker is the favourite. With a previous world title reign under his belt, an amateur background and 39 fights on his resume compared to Wardley's 20, Parker has experienced everything that heavyweight boxing has to offer.

Appearing alongside Wardley on Inside The Ring, Parker explained why he believes his gameplan at the O2 Arena 'will be too much' for the man from Ipswich.

"I know that Fabio Wardley is a lot more inexperienced than I am, but the team he has behind him will make good adjustments," Parker said.

"I feel this experience I have, being a world champion and fighting in front of big crowds, but also top contenders, the experience I have will be too much for him. That’s what I feel."

Throughout the show, Parker was speaking with a sense of urgency in his voice.

Following what has been a frustrating year pursuing Usyk, his mentality has changed. No longer does he want to solely focus on facing the Ukrainian, but he instead wants to keep being involved in the best and biggest fights the heavyweight division has to offer.

"Time is not really on my side. The time I do have in boxing, I just want to be in the big and the best fights, and fight the best fighters out there," Parker continued.

"I do believe Fabio Wardley is one of the best fighters out there with what he’s done and where he’s ranked."

While Wardley may not have the boxing pedigree which Parker possesses, the 30-year-old is an active threat.

All but one of Wardley's wins on his 19-0-1 record have come by way of knockout with his latest against Justis Huni in June a prime candidate for Knockout of the Year

With both Parker and Wardley aware of what's at stake come the opening bell at the O2 on Saturday night, it should be a memorable scrap between two heavyweight contenders at the top of their game.
