NEW YORK — Business is booming once again for Keyshawn Davis.

It took ‘The Businessman’ some time in his return to the ring to figure out his opponent, but he chipped away toward a 12th-round TKO of Jamaine Ortiz at Madison Square Garden, and live on DAZN PPV, on Saturday night. The bout served as the co-feature to Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson in the Ring VI main event.

Davis' stunning win came with 14 seconds left in the bout, driving a restless New York City crowd into hysteria.

After his triumphant return to the ring, Davis (14-0 with 1 no contest, 10 KOs) was asked who he wants next, and the Norfolk, Virginia native didn't hesitate to answer as if it was business as usual.

"Devin Haney," he told DAZN's Chris Mannix, referring to the WBO welterweight world champion.

Davis was pulling away with the fight on the scorecards, leading comfortably, but he was not satisfied with simply winning in the distance and started to apply urgency.

After repeatedly finding a home with his one-two combination, he fired a sweeping left hand to the body, forcing Ortiz to take a knee in the 11th round.

After the referee had a ringside physician check on Ortiz’ swollen left eye, Davis smelled blood. He dug to the body with another left hook, making ‘The Technician’ take a knee once again, as the referee stepped in and stopped the fight at 2:46 of the 12th for a punctuating end.

The win marked a successful return to the ring for Davis, who was stripped of his WBO lightweight world championship after weighing in 4.3 pounds overweight for his slated June homecoming fight last year.
