Keyshawn Davis admits he wants to make a bout with old amateur rival Andy Cruz if the latter defeats Raymond Muratalla.
The Cuban will bid to become IBF lightweight champion in just his seventh professional fight on Saturday, live on DAZN.
Davis and Cruz have history, having met four times as amateurs, including the Olympic gold-medal match at Tokyo 2020.
There, the American found himself forced to settle for silver, but has found success since with the WBO crown.
The star has since moved to super-lightweight, and has eyes on WBO champion Devin Haney at welterweight in the future too.
But Davis acknowledges he would love to settle the score with his former rival, suggesting he will have to make a decision.
"Let's just say [if] Andy Cruz knocks Raymond Muratalla out, now we can fight," he told The Ring's Mr. Verzace podcast.
"You just knocked Raymond Muratalla out? Forget that [move to] 147 [pounds]. Let's see how we can make that fight happen.
"[But] right now, there's a lot of buzz between me and [a fight with] Devin Haney. That's a mega fight for me, so why not go to 147?"
Keyshawn Davis is lighting several fires that the former WBO lightweight champion hopes can hype up a busy 2026 and beyond.
But the ex-Olympian may do well to temper expectations about facing former foe Andy Cruz if the latter lands himself a world title.
The American missed weight in what was meant to be his first defence against Edwin De Los Santos last June, in stunning scenes.
The bout collapsed shortly afterwards, and the star moved up a division, with his debut set for The Ring 6 against Jamaine Ortiz.
Davis might want to settle scores with Cruz - but he must be aware that, as he pinballs between classes, he has to choose a lane.
