Leo Atang admits he is chasing another first-round knockout as he preapres to face Glen Williams in California this weekend.

The York-based fighter makes his stateside debut on the Diego Pacheco-Immanuwel Aleem undercard tonight, live on DAZN.

Currently 7-0 after a blistering start to his professional career, the teenager has earned a reputation as a knockout merchant.

But heavyweight Atang is unfussed by such a tag right now, and hopes to deliver the same when he faces off with Williams.

"[I'm aiming for a] first-round knockout, but in the last 20 seconds," he told Boxing Scene. "I've seen him walk around the hotel.

"He's big, [but I've] not really looked too much into him. I’m always going to take my time with it and then get that clean knockout."

Atang admitted he was honoured to make his American bow at this juncture, and stressed his gratitude to promoters Matchroom.

"They have gone above what they've said," he added. "I'm so, so grateful. They've more than delivered. it's helping me build.

"It's all experience, but it's also a bit of a dream come true. Everyone wants to fight in America in their career. I'm grateful for it."
