Pat Brown and Molly McCann secured eye-catching wins in Belfast on Saturday as the duo delivered on their pre-fight favourite status with versatile victories at Windsor Park.

The duo respectively overcame Austine Nnamdi and Kate Radomska on the undercard of Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan's blockbuster IBF weltwerweight title rematch.

Though both were tipped for triumph, their results nevertheless keep the former on track for a domestic title shot and ensure the latter makes a smooth transition to the sport.

Brown, who was originally due to face Argentina's Franco Catena before he was replaced by Lagos-born Nnamdi, was looking to secure a fourth success in as many pro bouts.

Ultimately, his hopes to bank further minutes went unrealised however after he dropped his opponent with a deftly intelligent combo sixty seconds or so into the second round.

Just a handful of exchanges later, the referee waved off the contest after Nnamdi's legs buckled on the canvas, with Brown now turning his attention to one more fight in 2025.

Meanwhile McCann, who opened the main undercard on her professional debut, backed up suggestions from pundits that she could embark on a fruitful second life in boxing.

The well-noted Everton supporter, who entered the ring in resplendent robes of club royal blue, rarely appeared troubled by her foe, whose team threw in the towl in the final round.

Radomska escaped sanction in the second when she kicked out at her opponent, but McCann responded by dropping her in the fifth, to secure the perfect start to her pro journey.

Also on the card, there were wins for hometown hero Tyrone McKenna over rival Dylan Moran, and for Caoimhín Agyarko, who inflicted a third straight defeat on Ishmael Davis.

'The Mighty Celt' followed up his win last December against the same foe with a seventh-round stoppage, raining a barrage of unanswered punches down to seal the deal.

Agyarko meanwhile survived a swollen right eye and a slippery last-round knockdown to outpoint 'The Black Panther' by split decision with scores of 114-113, 114-113 and 112-115.
