Anthony Joshua was impressive.

Anthony Joshua wasted no time getting past Francis Ngannou as he destroyed the former UFC superstar in two rounds in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou was having his second professional boxing fight after pushing Tyson Fury close last year, but he was no match for Joshua who showed the MMA fighter just how brutal boxing can be.

Ngannou appeared confident in the opening stages, but his plans went into disarray when he was dropped by a huge right hand.

The shot stunned Ngannou and although he came out fighting in the second round, the end was quickly approaching.

Joshua unleashed a similar shot and although Ngannou made it back to his feet, Joshua could smell victory.

A further attack sent Ngannou onto the floor for a third time and this time he wasn't getting up as the referee sensibly called the fight off.

In the fight’s immediate aftermath, Joshua paid tribute to his fallen opponent but his promoter, Eddie Hearn, made it clear that Fury was his next target.
