After recording her seventh defense of the WBO super flyweight world title — a unanimous decision over Mai Soliman — Hiruta invited a mega fight with undisputed flyweight ruler Gabriela Fundora.

“Yes, of course,” an overcome with emotion Hiruta said live on DAZN, welcoming a clash with Fundora.  “She’s very strong.”

The potential dream bout would feature two undefeated and extremely sharp fighters, with Fundora (18-0, 10 KOs) touting more of a mean streak from her 5-foot-9 fighting frame than Hiruta (11-0, 2 KOs).

Fight fans checking in Saturday night realized quickly that Hiruta’s sweet science skills are as colorful as her green hair, as she dominated her way through the 10-round title defense over Soliman, only boosting her growing fight profile.
