What is Itauma's best route to a heavyweight world title?
Moses Itauma's blockbuster 2026 looks set to take the heavyweight star to the next level, as he eyes a world title chance.
After dispatching Jermaine Franklin in theoretically the biggest test of his career back in March, the Briton is on the hunt.
Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren has made no secret that he believes his man is ready for silverware this year.
As for Itauma himself, he is hungry to prove himself. Twenty years old, he has conquered all comers so far in ruthless style.

His arrival near the summit of a stacked heavyweight division, complete with strong rankings, comes amid a sea change too.
With that in mind, what are his pathways to a world title opportunity before the year is out? DAZN News considers his options.
What is Itauma's route to a world title?
Right now, Itauma's path to the summit appears to hinge on what Oleksandr Usyk decides to do following his win over Rico Verhoeven.
The Ukrainian faced a tough night in Giza, and came through in what many saw as controversial circumstances after a late stoppage.
Usyk is next due to face WBC interim champion Agit Kabayel. But if he is persuaded to take a Verhoeven rematch, he will be stripped.
That opens up the German to face the next-ranked contender - Itauma himself. With both men under Queensberry, it could be dynamite.
The IBF is also an option too, with Frank Sanchez the current mandatory challenger. If Usyk vacates, the Cuban could be on the menu.
Would Itauma rather fight Kabayel or Sanchez?
This is a big question, and perhaps one less about Itauma, who would undoubtedly relish the chance to fight with either man.
By all accounts, he previously passed on facing Sanchez, whose brutal dismissal of Richard Torrez Jr. showcased his threat last month.
But should the star suddenly have a world title, the permutations shift. The Cuban becomes very much a live target for Itauma.
Kabayel, on the other hand, offers arguably greater risk and reward. Unbeaten professionally, the German is an absolute machine.
Given Warren oversees both men, Queensberry may be reluctant to pursue if multiple options are on the table. It will be a curious wait.
What about Dubois-Wardley II and the WBO?
One belt Itauma seems unlikely to get a shot at any time soon is the WBO crown held by Daniel Dubois after dethroning Fabio Wardley.

The latter - who shares a trainer with Itauma - has activated a rematch clause, and is determined to regather the strap he previously lost.
There is a cut-off date for any deal to be struck between the pair, of course, but that is several months away, giving each man time.
It means Itauma is on the outside for now - though if a deal was to fall apart, he could well push for a shot at Dubois in Wardley's place.
Either way, the waiting game continues. Itauma is expected to return in August, perhaps against Filip Hrgovic. The picture may be clearer by then.
