Frank Warren has seen many young fighters come and go during his lifetime in boxing, but where does Moses Itauma rank when comparing the many prospects he has guided?

On August 16, Itauma once again proved why he is the heavyweight to be feared as the 20-year-old produced another stunning performance against Dillian Whyte in Saudi Arabia.

The former world title challenger had been expected to provide Itauma with a stern test due to his experience in the sport, which had included fights against Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker, and Tyson Fury.

Instead, Whyte was stopped in the opening session as he had no reply to the exceptional speed and power possessed by Itauma.

The young star, on the verge of becoming the face of boxing, was relentless from the opening bell, and after hurting Whyte almost immediately, he continued to follow it up before the bout was halted.

Afterwards, the attention switched to what will come next for Itauma with several names linked, but decisions like that will take time and care, and there is no rush in getting Itauma to the highest level against someone like Oleksandr Usyk.

Warren, Itauma’s promoter, has long been an admirer of his latest heavyweight charge, and he was quick to praise his fighter after the fight had ended.

“He’s the best young fighter at this age than any fighter I’ve ever been involved with,” said Warren when speaking to The Stomping Ground

“He got in there and he done it, and he done it in style. No one has ever done that to Dillian. It’s the best shape I’ve ever seen Dillian in, but it was just a punch perfect performance.

“Every punch he threw connected, and there was just so much variety.”
