Moses Itauma poised to beat Anthony Joshua feat with latest test, believes Frank Warren

Moses Itauma can trump Anthony Joshua by delivering a knockout promise against Jermaine Franklin, with Frank Warren full of belief his charge can triumph once again.

The two meet atop Queensberry Promotions' latest Magnificent 7 card at Manchester's Co-op Live in February, celebrating forty-five years in the business for the promoter.

Itauma needed less than a round to dispatch Dillian Whyte in Riyadh back in August, and currently stands as the WBA and WBO number-one contender at heavyweight.

Franklin makes for another major name placed in his way, with the star's only two losses taken against Whyte and Joshua, having gone the distance with the latter.

Speaking at Monday's press conference, Warren expounded upon his hopes for Itauma against the big American however, and suggested he can stop him in his tracks.

"This is an important fight for Moses," he said. "He's a young man at twenty, and he'll be twenty-one by the time this event takes place.

"He's number one with the WBA and WBO He's done magnificently well [but] he's in with a really seasoned campaigner in Jermaine.

"AJ, he went the distance with him, so can Moses do what they couldn't do? Jermaine fancies this job. This is a big moment but I believe [Itauma] will deliver."

Elsewhere, Warren reflected on his time in the sport, and stressed he remains committed despite his advancing years, adding: "Time's flown by. It's been a great journey.

"I've enjoyed every moment of it, and I still do. Here we are in Manchester, which we've had some fabulous fights [in] over those forty-five years, with our latest Magnificent 7.

"We started this concept fifteen years ago and I'm so pleased to still be doing what I'm doing, working with these great fighters in this great sport, delivering fantastic cards."
