Dillian Whyte needs to sow doubt into Moses Itauma ahead of their bout, with Barry Jones suggesting that the veteran needs "eighty percent" of his peak to cause his foe trouble.
The duo meet in a heavyweight clash with serious ramifications for the division at Riyadh's ANB Arena this Saturday, with the bout set to be broadcast live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Itauma enters as the WBO #1 contender, while Whyte has amassed three victories in three years with arguably diminishing returns, but the latter seems in great shape for this test.
Speaking at Wednesday's open workouts, former super-featherweight champion Jones suggested that if the latter can recapture some of his best form, he can be a serious threat.
"I think he needs that bit of [me against the world] feeling on him," he said. "He looks in great shape. I'm not sure if losing all that weight is a good thing or a bad thing.
"It means he's going to be a little more mobile, and against Itauma, he's going to need that. If he's got eighty percent of what he had at his peak, then he's a problem for Itauma.
"Itauma hasn't boxed anywhere near that level yet. Demsey McKean was a good test, but in Whyte, he's got a guy who knows how to handle a fight [and] the whole fight week.
"He should be on Itauma's case right from now, try and get him unsettled. I think it's a hard ask, but come fight night, if there are any doubts for Itauma, he'd be sowing the seed."
