A new week in boxing is here so let's look at who is dominating the headlines on Monday, February 9
The heavyweight contender, eager for a shot at Oleksandr Usyk, thrilled his loyal support with an impressive win after making a somewhat slow start in the opening session.
After the success of that show, a huge sellout with boisterous noise, plans are in place for Kabayel to fight in his country again.
The Ring have reported that a British opponent could be in the opposite corner to Kabayel, but no details have been revealed yet.
Jake Paul could land a rematch with Tommy Fury after his promoter revealed to Sky Sports that the fight interests the popular influencer.
Paul suffered his first defeat inside a boxing ring in 2023 when he was outpointed by Fury, but he did manager to drop his great rival in the final frame.
With MVP now promoting in Britain after announcing their first show last week featuring Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper, Nikisa Bidarian has stated there is hope for a Paul vs Fury sequel.
"He wants to prove to the world that he can beat Tommy Fury,” said Bidarian when speaking to Sky Sports .
"Jake before Joshua had one loss on his record and that was Tommy Fury and I would love for that fight to happen because I think it's a great barometer of how far Jake has come.
"I don't think he [Fury] has developed as much as Jake has over the last three years. Because he hasn't been as focused on boxing.”
Fabio Wardley’s first WBO title defence is highly likely to come against Daniel Dubois with May 9 the preferred date for the contest.
Sources close to DAZN News have confirmed that talks between the camps are going well and that the all-British heavyweight title fight will land at London’s O2 Arena later this year.
Dubois has the opportunity to become world champion for a third time and his team have appeared to work extremely hard in securing another crack after he lost his IBF crown to Oleksandr Usyk last July.
Wardley was upgraded to WBO champion shortly after beating Joseph Parker last year.
