Nick Ball stopped by Brandon Figueroa to end WBA featherweight reign: Relive fight highlights

Nick Ball's reign as WBA featherweight champion came to a shuddering halt on Saturday night as he was stopped by Brandon Figueroa.

The Liverpool fighter's tenure was brought to an abrupt conclusion by two superb blows from the American in the city's M&S Bank Arena.

Across a taut fight, Ball had looked to be in possession of the edge against a taller, rangier opponent heading into the championship rounds.

But Figueroa rallied across the final three to capture momentum, before securing victory with a brutal stoppage in the last round of the contest.
