Opetaia returns, Fury prepares, Berlanga eyes Eubank Jr.: Five things to watch out for this week

DAZN
Ultimate Tier: PPVs & 185 fight nights included

March is here, and with it a busy slate of boxing action awaits live on DAZN, featuring world title fights galore as 2026 continues to build.

Jazza Dickens will defend his WBA super-featherweight crown against Anto Cacace, while Moses Itauma returns against Jermaine Franklin.

In between, a packed schedule will feature some of the best rising talent on the planet - but that's not all to keep your eyes peeled for.

DAZN News takes a look towards the week in boxing, and picks out five key things that could turn heads over the next seven days and beyond.

Introducing DAZN Ultimate Tier

Opetaia launches Zuffa career

Arguably the largest capture by boxing's latest promotional body, IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, is back in action this weekend.

The star will defend his title against American Brandon Glanton in Las Vegas, as he continues to push for unification within the division.

Opetaia will be a heavy favourite - but will his move earn him the shots he truly wants, as rival 'Zurdo' Ramirez looks elsewhere instead?

Fury enters prep crunch time

Since popping up for a launch press conference, Tyson Fury has mostly kept his head down as he trains for his comeback bout in April.

The Briton has been seen enjoying himself overseas with former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker as he prepares for his return.

With the undercard locked in now, though, don't be too surprised if Fury starts to weigh in once again as he enters his crunch preparations.

Dickens and Cacace close in on fight night

Less than two weeks before they share the ring for a St. Patrick's Day mega-bout, and the stakes are clear for Jazza Dickens and Anto Cacace.

The former's first WBA super-featherweight title defence offers him a chance to legitimise the belt he was elevated to in December.

But his foe has already claimed some major domestic scalps and will surely up the intensity as he bids for another championship reign.

Berlanga eyes Eubank Jr. dance

Chris Eubank Jr.'s future in the ring remains a cloudy proposition after his loss to Conor Benn, but Edgar Berlanga wants a piece of him.

The latter called out the former WBA super-middleweight title challenger over the weekend, wanting a "firefight" in London later this year.

Berlanga himself was brutally outclassed by Hamzah Sheeraz last time out, but the pair could prove well-matched for a potential clash.

Usyk begins road to Giza

News last week that Oleksandr Usyk would join the crossover craze with Rico Verhoeven made good on rumours that have rumbled on.

But the decision to take the WBC heavyweight title fight to the Giza necropolis in Egypt, home of the Great Pyramid, is quite the twist.

With the bout out in the open now, you can expect to see the fruits of the Ukrainian's labours sooner rather than later as he prepares.
