Pacquiao's coach: 'Manny will destroy Conor McGregor'DAZN
Manny Pacquiao’s strength and conditioning coach, Justin Fortune, said he would 'obliterate' Conor McGregor within three rounds, and called the Irish fighter 'a bum'.

Manny Pacquiao’s strength and conditioning coach has said the boxer would "obliterate" Conor McGregor.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat McGregor in August 2017 in a match that ran into the 10th round, but Justin Fortune believes his fighter could beat the Irishman in just three rounds.

Fortune told the Manila Times: "Why even make that guy rich? And it won't do absolutely anything for Pacquiao as far as his legacy [is concerned].

"Remember, this is just my opinion. Manny goes down as the greatest fighter in history when he finishes because no one has done what he accomplished in boxing.”

He then insulted McGregor at the same time as suggesting he was not worth Pacquiao’s time.

“Why destroy your legacy for a bum like McGregor?” he asked.

Fortune continued: “Manny will destroy Conor McGregor inside the three rounds.

“He will obliterate him too fast and too strong as an amazing fighter. McGregor is nothing.”

McGregor last fought in January 2020 against Donald Cerrone, but retired in June after that victory.

Pacquiao’s last match-up was against Keith Thurman in July 2019. A potential summer 2020 fight against Mikey Garcia was thrwarted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
