Reece Bellotti believes he is a more complete fighter following his move up to super-featherweight, as he plots a clean sweep of domestic titles against Ryan Garner on Saturday.
The pair face off for the British, Commonwealth and European titles, with the former holding the current two straps, at Bournemouth International Centre, live to watch on DAZN.
In an exclusive interview with DAZN News, Bellotti opened up on returning to form at a new weight after a string of tough losses, and stressed he will play up to his strengths.
"Experience is the main thing," he said. "In boxing, you have to learn on the job. I’ve had to change and adapt in a few ways. Moving up in weight has been massively helpful.
"Everyone struggles to make weight. After the string of defeats, I was sitting there thinking that I felt different, that trying to make weight was more of a difference than previously.
"I’ve just got to be me [this weekend]. It’s worked so far. People have to solve my puzzles as much as they I have to solve theirs. A lot of them haven’t dealt with what I’ve brought.
"I know what to expect, I've watched his fights. But he knows what to expect of me. Whenever they’re in front of you, it’s a different thing. We’ll see who adapts better on the night."
Though he hails from Watford and his rival from Southampton, Bellotti is aware there could be more partisan suppot for his opponent when he steps out on Britain's south coast.
But he is unfazed by the prospect that his supporters will be outnumbered, and says he will draw on the experience of similar atmospheres to power him through the encounter.
"I just think that I’ve got a job to do," he added. "The last few times I’ve boxed, I think their fans outweighed my fans, but it just gives me more motivation to prove it in the ring."
