Rolly Romero vs. Teofimo Lopez: How to watch, date, ringwalks, undercard, prediction, odds

Two of the most dynamic personalities will square off on Saturday night, live on DAZN PPV, Ultimate Tier and Prime Video when Rolando 'Rolly' Romero puts the WBA welterweight title at stake against former two-division world champion Teofimo Lopez from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Romero (17-2, 13 KOs) last competed in May 2025 when he knocked down and defeated Ryan Garcia to win the WBA (regular) welterweight belt at Times Square in New York City. He got elevated to full champion status after Jaron 'Boots' Ennis moved up to 154 pounds. After a proposed bout with Devin Haney fell through, the focus shifted to 'The Takeover'. 

Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs) is making his debut at 147 pounds. Normally, a bout to get accustomed to the weight happens. But Lopez wanted to jump right into the fire against Romero. He looks to get back on track in a big way and become a three-division world champion after losing his WBO and Ring Magazine belts to Shakur Stevenson in January.

Romero's fight with Lopez will take place on Saturday, August 22, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Where is the Romero vs. Lopez fight?

The fight is set to be held at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas. 

The arena can hold up to 20,000 fight fans for boxing events. 

In February, it staged the WBC welterweight title fight between Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia which the latter won by unanimous decision.
