'That's a statement!' - Spencer Brown believes Joseph Parker has heavyweight division on high alert

Spencer Brown feels nobody in the heavyweight division can ignore Joseph Parker, with his second-round victory against Martin Bakole serving as a statement of intent.

The star made short work of his challenger at Riyadh Season's The Last Crescendo, having been forced to find a new foe after Daniel Dubois withdraw on Thursday.

New Zealander Parker, a former WBO heavyweight champion during a two-year reign, had been bidding to for a second reign in his original bout with the IBF title holder.

Now boxing manager Brown believes that he has put rivals past, present and future on notice, suggesting that he should be in line for another world title bid imminently.

"I think that's a statement that he can't be ignored by anybody now," he told The Stomping Ground. "He's bigger, he's stronger.

"They can't ignore Joe. Nobody can ignore him. For me, he's one of the top three heavyweights in the world right now. [Bakole's camp] was very confident.

"They took the fight and didn't even blink. We've got a chance of getting any big fight, haven't we. There's a lot of fights out there for him. He's at the pinnacle now.

"There's no coming down now. There's only going up. Martin Bakole was rated as one of the best. Nobody wanted to fight him. Joe did and look what he's done."
