Terence Crawford wins 2025 Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year

The finalists for the Ring Magazine 2025 Fighter of the Year featured a stacked field. 

You had undisputed super middleweight champion Terence Crawford, undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue, unified super flyweight champion Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez, former undisputed and current unified light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, and WBO heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

Former three-time undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk made the announcement of Crawford being the winner.

Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) only competed one time in 2025, but he made it a memorable one. In front of over 70,000 people inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and moving up two weight classes, Crawford dominated Canelo Alvarez to win by unanimous decision to become the undisputed super middleweight champion, and became the third fighter (Usyk and Claressa Shields) to be a two-time four-belt titleholder. 

After the fight, Crawford announced his retirement after reaching the proverbial mountain top and with nothing else to prove.

"Anything is possible if you believe in yourself," Crawford said in his acceptance speech.
