Gennadiy Golovkin finally makes his way back to the ring after more than a year out of action.
The middleweight had been due to take on Ryota Murata back in December, but the coronavirus pandemic halted the original plans, and the pair will now meet on April 9 in a fight shown in over 200 countries on DAZN (see below for details).
The Kazakhstani fighter carries the IBF world middleweight belt, and when he steps in the ring, he will do so a day after his 40th birthday. His opponent should be a stern test, with the Japanese fighter bringing with him the WBA strap.
Golovkin last fought when he stopped Kamil Szeremeta in December 2020, while Murata will be pursuing three consecutive knockout victories.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Golovkin vs. Murata.
