Reigning Olympic lightweight champion Andy Cruz steps into the professional ranks for the first time tonight, taking on Juan Carlos Burgos for the vacant IBF international title.
Cruz's pedigree suggests he could become a contender at 135lbs in short order, but he must first take care of business in his maiden pro bout. Burgos is coming off a loss to Keyshawn Davis late last year and needs a victory to get back on track.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Cruz vs. Burgos.
The event is set to start at 8 p.m. ET / 1 a.m. BST. The ring walks for Cruz vs. Burgos can be expected at around 8:59 p.m. ET / 1:59 a.m. BST, but those are approximate times which may vary depending on the length of fights before on the undercard.
