After tasting the canvas twice in a lopsided defeat at the hands of Conor Benn on Saturday night, a humbled Chris Eubank Jr. was left unsure of his next move.

That said, in defeat, he saluted Benn on a masterful performance, before making it clear that he will need time to ponder the next stage of his career.

"I been through hell and back to get to this night," Eubank Jr. began saying. "It is what it is. I tried my best. The kid fought hard; he fought tough. He’s got power, this kid. We put on a show. Conor Benn was the best man tonight, so congratulations to him."

Eubank Jr. added: "It’s 1-1, I’ve got to go away and deal with some of the things I’ve been dealing with over the past couple of months."

After defeating Benn via unanimous decision in April, looking every bit the bigger and perhaps more skilled boxer, Eubank Jr.'s rematch with his rival at the same Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London told a starkly different story.

Benn made sure rounds 13 through 24 were a washout in his favor as he was the more energetic fighter, stronger and quicker to the punch, seemingly landing shots at will on Eubank Jr., who looked flat with arm punches nearly all night.

With the loss, the 36-year-old Eubank Jr.'s record slides to 35-4 (25 KOs), his 2026 up in the air.

Though he left the door open for a possible trilogy, Eubank Jr. was beaten handily into the only resort, calling Benn the superior boxer for this particular evening.

"Who knows? Maybe we’ll see something new with me and him, maybe we won’t," Eubank Jr. said. "But for right now, it’s all about this man. It’s his night."
