Zurdo Ramirez vs Yuniel Dorticos - Ramirez finally becomes a two-weight world champion

WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez looks to cement himself as one of the best at 200lbs on Saturday night. 

Fighting on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr live on DAZN PPV, Ramirez will take on mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticos. 

Ramirez has made it no secret that he wants to become the undisputed champion at cruiserweight and a win over Dorticos would take him one step closer to that dream.

But where did this cruiserweight undisputed title dream start?

Well, it began in March 2023 when Ramirez challenged WBA champion Arsen Goulamirian. 

It was a big test for Ramirez coming up against the undefeated Goulamirian, but he passed with flying colours, beating the Frenchman by unanimous decision and became a two-weight world champion at the second time of asking.
