Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman scores first goal of 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

It took more than a full match, but we finally have the first goal of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup .

After an enthralling 0-0 draw between Inter Miami and Ah Ahly on Saturday night to kick off the 32-club competition, Bayern Munich entered Sunday's match against Auckland City FC heavily favoured to win by a large margin.

And in the sixth minute, the German giants got themselves on the board thanks to a well-placed header from Kingsley Coman.

Coman's goal was assisted by Jonathan Tah, who made his first appearance for Bayern after signing on a free from Bayer Leverkusen. The scoring continued throughout the match as Bayern hammered the New Zealanders 10-0.

Bayern and Auckland City are two of four Group C teams, with Boca Junior and Benfica set to kick off their tournament on Monday.
