The biggest game of the weekend in the Premier League happens on Sunday when Arsenal welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal continue to lead the league and have built up a seven-point cushion ahead of Matchweek 23, thanks in part to the uneven form of second and third place Manchester City and Aston Villa, respectively.
Regardless, the Gunners find themselves in a familiar position atop the standings near the end of January, but they'll look to maintain or even extend their advantage with a victory on Sunday against one of their oldest foes in England's top flight.
Man United arrive in north London with a new interim head coach in Michael Carrick, who has served in the role in the past and even has a win over Mikel Arteta's Gunners to his name.
Carrick and the Red Devils head into this match on the heels of a famous victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford, with United looking by far the better side in that clash despite their opposition's credentials over the past several years.
They'll look to do the same against Arsenal, only this time they'll be on the road.

"Michael [Carrick] coming in will bring new ideas. Always, the intensity rises up. You could see that in the Manchester derby, the kind of behaviours and the game that they played, so we will expect a really tough match and we’ll adapt to that for sure. But we are at home and we know how important that game is for us."

"It’s a big challenge, you know, they’re a very good team. It’s pretty obvious to say that. They’ve got so many strong points to their game, and to their squad. It’s a big challenge, they are where they are for a reason and where they are in the Champions League for a reason, so we’re fully aware of that and not taking that lightly at all. We feel we’re in a good place and we’re looking forward to the game, so it’s where we want to be, with that real positive energy and enthusiasm, to go there and be positive, but for sure we know it's not going to come easy.”
While last week's Manchester derby victory was a great start to Carrick's second stint as Man United caretaker, getting a result at the Emirates is a challenge at a completely different level.
With Arsenal having earned a confidence-boosting midweek win at Inter Milan, the Gunners should be flying at home and looking to shut down any notion of an upset.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Manchester United
