Consummately professional, ruthlessly efficient and clinical with the chances that came their way, Arsenal showed their class in winning 2-0 at Athletic Club in Matchday One of the Champions League.
Mikel Arteta's side bagged the win with goals from second-half substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Martinelli scored just 36 seconds after being introduced, with Belgium forward Trossard putting him through on goal in the 71st minute.
The Brazil winger then returned the favour, beating his man and giving the ball to Trossard to squeeze in the second in the 86th minute.
The Gunners will be huge favourites to beat an Olympiakos side who were held to a goalless draw at home to Cypriot champions Pafos last week.
Pafos had right-back Bruno Felipe dismissed in the 26th minute for collecting two yellow cards - but Olympiakos could not break the Champions League debutants down.

The Portuguese winger, 29, rejoined the Greek giants for a third spell at the club during the summer.
In January 2020, he signed with Wolves but returned to Olympiakos on loan for the 2023–24 season, winning the Conference League.
He moved to Al-Shabab in September 2024, returning to Olympiacos for a third spell in 2025.
