Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will have no qualms about playing Noni Madueke against Fluminense in tonight’s FIFA Club World Cup semi-final despite doubts over the winger’s future.

The England star is a reported target for Arsenal as they look to bolster their attacking options and take advantage of Chelsea’s need to balance the books after another summer spending spree.

But Maresca brought Madueke on against Palmeiras which helped change the game in their favour and admitted the forward could feature again in the mouth watering Fluminense clash, which is free to watch live on DAZN.

The Italian said: “We had the same noise before Palmeiras, but we gave Noni half an hour, and he was very good.

“I don’t have any doubt that if we need Noni, he’s going to help us.

“At the same time I understand that, as a human being, when there is noise around you it's not easy to deal with that, but hopefully he can.”

Chelsea are already without suspended pair Liam Delap and Levi Colwill and have been dealt a blow that Romeo Lavia is still out injured.

Maresca added: “Romeo is training already, but not with the group. He won't be ready for Fluminense.”

Tonight’s clash with the third Brazilian side that Chelsea will have faced in the Club World Cup following previous meetings with Flamengo and Palmeiras.

Maresca said: “From any game, you can always learn and the first two Brazilian sides were very good with lots of energy.

“We don’t have any doubt that it’s going to be exactly the same against Fluminense.”
