We are on the eve of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off on Saturday, June 14 (or in the early hours of Sunday June 15 in the UK) and as you would expect there are a plethora of betting markets for punters to get stuck into.
This tournament will dominate the sporting calendar this summer when a total of 12 different venues across the US will play host to 63 matches, all live and for free on DAZN.
The Golden Boot betting will be a popular market, with Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe the current 9/2 favourite with DAZN Bet to finish as tournament top scorer.
That’s not a huge surprise given the fact that his club Real Madrid have won the Club World Cup more times than any other side.
However, Los Blancos have not enjoyed a season to remember, and while they are near certs to emerge from a very ordinary Group H, they may struggle as the tournament progresses.
New boss Xabi Alonso has been talking big ahead of this, but nobody even knows how he will set Real Madrid up yet and Mbappe looks short enough in a deep betting heat.
As you can imagine the top scorer market is dominated by some of the biggest names in the game, with Erling Haaland and Harry Kane at the head of the betting along with Mbappe.
Haaland is everything you want from a striker. Quick, brave, strong and possessing an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time. Face of a bricklayer; left peg of an angel.
However, with no Kevin De Bruyne firing the bullets, and Phil Foden clearly struggling in terms of form, you wonder where the service will come from for the ice-cold Norwegian?
Kane has bagged 82 goals over the last two seasons for his club, and given Bayern have been given a decent draw he will back himself to find the net against the likes of Auckland City and Boca Juniors (Benfica are the other team in Group C).
He scored 38 across all competitions last season, and England’s all-time goalscorer looks a fair price at 7/1.
At a slightly bigger price though fellow Bundesliga star Serhou Guirassy looks a punt at 16/1.
Borussia Dortmund finished the season like a train under Niko Kovac, scoring 26 times across their final eight matches. Guirassy finished joint-top of the Champions League goalscoring charts this season, and Dortmund are well fancied to emerge from a Group F that also contains Fluminense, Ulsan and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Kane was the only player to score more than Guirassy’s 21 in the German topflight last season, and Guirassy could set this tournament alight if he is in the mood.
Guirassy is a modern striker in every sense of the world. A slick and suave performer who possesses a rare blend of strength, speed and technical ability.
His willingness to shift out wide to receive possession makes him a tough prospect to mark for defenders too, and if BVB continue their late season form in the US, that 16/1 quote won’t last very long.
Elsewhere Nicolas Jackson looks a huge price at 40/1. The Senegal international is quick and powerful and managed to score 10 in 30 games in what was a slightly underwhelming campaign for Chelsea last term.
The Blues finished the season well though and have a decent draw in Group D, where they will face Flamengo, Los Angeles FC and Tunisian side Esperance.
Chelsea have brought in Liam Delap for the 2025/26 campaign, but Jackson should play a major role for Chelsea in the US and at 40/1 I would certainly rather be backing him than laying him as top scorer.
The Golden Ball award for the best player is decided by a FIFA panel after the tournament has ended. As you would imagine there is betting on this and at 25/1 Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be over-priced.
The Georgian – who scored in the Champions League final as PSG ran amok against Inter Milan – has been unplayable at times this season and could go on to land the Golden Ball here.
Known for his exceptional dribbling, willingness to cut inside and take on defenders, he has the class to really light up this tournament.

In the same market Lionel Messi is just 16/1. Messi is arguably the greatest player who ever laced up a pair of boots, but truth be told that price looks criminally short given Inter Miami's limitations and the fact they are not particularly fancied to get out of Group A, which also includes Porto, Palmeiras and Al Ahly.
If PSG go deep – you can bet that Kvaratskhelia will be in the thick of it – and I have said for a while he is the most watchable footballer in Europe right now. Put simply, 25/1 seems a little too dismissive given his penchant for the extraordinary and his rare range of gifts.
Odds correct as of Wednesday, June 11, 4:50pm. Recommended bets are advised to over-18s.
